The New York State STOP-DWI Foundation, Inc. is recognized as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code section 509(a)(2) and has 501(c)(3) status. Donations are tax deductible. A copy of our IRS determination letter is available upon request. We are also registered with the New York State Charities Bureau.
New York’s STOP-DWI program is the Nations’ first and, to date, only self-sustaining impaired driving program. Other States have implemented components of self-sufficiency, but none to the degree of New York State.
