Each year MADD New York and New York STOP-DWI host a recognition awards luncheon as a "Thank You" to law enforcement and all community members who work tirelessly to keep our NY roads safe from impaired drivers and also to those who work to prevent underage drinking.
On February 12 and March 12 and 13 Jacy Good and Steve Johnson gave their presentation on Distracted Driving at six schools in Allegany County (Scio, Belfast, Cuba-Rushford, Genesee Valley, Bolivar-Richburg and Friendship). March 28, 2015 has been designated as "STOP-DWI Night" in Glens Falls with the Adirondack Flames (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) in their game with the Oklahoma City Barons (AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers). Saratoga County has scheduled a "STOP-DWI" game at 2:00 p.m.

Franklin County STOP-DWI participated in the Franklin County Traffic Safety's snowmobile checkpoint in the Town of Franklin and the Town of Tupper Lake over the past two weekends. Also participating in the detail was New York State Forest Rangers & Encon Police, Franklin County Sheriff's Department, Tupper Lake Police and State Police Malone.
Congratulations to Casey O'Connor, winner of the Tupper Lake High School S.A.D.D./Franklin County Stop DWI Impaired Driving Prevention Poster Contest. Thanks to all who took the time to enter the contest. Your work was outstanding. Once again it was very difficult to pick just one winner.
Marianne Angelillo. She has been speaking publicly since 2004 sharing her family’s journey in the hopes of preventing other families from experiencing such tragedy.
She will be at the Marano Campus Center Auditorium, SUNY Oswego on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 7 pm for a presentation and book signing. The event is free and open to the public. Please follow the signs for parking.
