Monroe County STOP-DWI Program coordinated our first annual Impaired Driving Victim/Survivor Retreat.
August 30th, was 2016 STOP-DWI Night at the Red Wings in Rochester. It was a beautiful evening and the weather was perfect. About ten volunteers showed up to distribute over fifteen hundred lanyards and cards to the game attendee's. STOP-DWI was grateful that seven victims/survivors volunteered to assemble and distribute the lanyards and cards.

Albany County STOP-DWI has been displaying their Cab/Cop Car around Albany County this summer. Delmar EMS hooked them up with the added advertisement on their sign! Special "shout out" goes to Bethlehem PD for doing the same when the car was in their area.

The Glens Falls Civic Center was the venue for the 2nd Annual STOP-DWI Hockey Game where team "STOP-DWI" faced off against team "Saratoga County Law Enforcement". There was a great turnout at the game with an even larger crowd following at STOP-DWI night at the Adirondack Thunder game .
A few rain drops couldn’t dampen the opening ceremony for the 5th Annual STOP DWI High School Baseball Classic, which was played April 29 and 30th at Murnane Field in Utica.
Laser Technology, Inc. recently donated an LTI 20/20 TruSpeed S laser at the Monroe County STOP DWI Conference to Officer Sam Weech of the Rochester Police Department (RPD) to show appreciation for his dedication to the safety of NY roadways. He has been working in law enforcement for a total of 14 years, 12 of those being with the Rochester Police Department.
As you know, 4/20 is recognized by many as Marijuana Day – a day to smoke and get high. Here in Westchester, we choose to celebrate 4/20 as Marijuana Prevention Day. We reclaimed the day and declared it - Healthy Teen Brain Day.
