Ontario County’s STOP-DWI program has launched an operation aimed at collecting $238,533 in delinquent and unpaid fines from driving while intoxicated charges.

 

Vampires, witches, zombies, goblins, peer pressure, drugs and alcohol. Some Halloween dangers are much more real than others.

On 10/17/14, the Ontario County STOP-DWI program hosted a booking signing of Marianne Angelillo’ s book, “Sharing My Stones” to kick off National Teen Driver Safety Week and Red Ribbon Week.  In attendance were Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero, Ontario County Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Jack Marren, Ontario County Youth Bureau representative Kari Wilferth and STOP-DWI Administrator

Several years ago the New York State STOP-DWI Association, Inc. launched the “STOP-DWI Crackdown Weekends.” The theory behind this initiative is that by better coordinating and promoting county efforts we can achieve greater visibility of DWI enforcement activities in New York State.
