March 28, 2015 has been designated as "STOP-DWI Night" in Glens Falls with the Adirondack Flames (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) in their game with the Oklahoma City Barons (AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers). Saratoga County has scheduled a "STOP-DWI" game at 2:00 p.m. to precede the Flames game, with a portion of the proceeds raised ($15 gets a ticket to both our game and the Flames game) going to promote local STOP-DWI programs. Both teams playing are committed to stopping DWI in various ways - the Law Enforcement Team is made up of members of the Sheriff's Department, State Police and local agencies, while the STOP-DWI Team is made up of DWI prosecutors, some cops, the STOP-DWI Coordinator from Rensselaer County (Jim Gordon).
It should be a great game, and a great day to help raise DWI awareness. There will be several tables set up during both our game and the Flames game to promote STOP-DWI awareness.
