Farewell to a friend and the annual traffic safety conference.
October 23, 2007

Sadly, the STOP-DWI Association says goodbye, and farewell to our recording Secretary, Doug Lippert, Madison County STOP-DWI Coordinator

Doug is retiring and will enjoy travelling and his grandchildren. Doug tells us that his wife has a head start on this whole retirement thing.

Good luck in your retirement Doug! Enjoy your new life and your grandchildren, and your children too of course!!!

This is the way most of us will remember him, fondly of course, in his duty of paying attention and writing the minutes.

Always accurate and always well done...........

This year our opening plenary session was entitled "From Wedding Rings to Nose Rings." This was a very interesting, and funny, look at the differences in the different generational groups. The essesnce was the importance of understanding diversity and how we are all different.

The speaker was Faith Roberts. She is a nurse at the Carle Foundation Hospital, in Urbana IL.

Good job Faith!!!!

This gentleman's name is Robert Watson. He led an interesting discussion about the manner in which Westchester County provides probation supervision to the repeat DWI offender. This was not only informative but very thought provoking. Westchester utilizes many different strategies to work with this type of offender. A workshop well done for sure!
