Winning Interdiction: Conducting the Complete Traffic Stop is an intense one-day course designed for veterans and newcomers alike. It focuses on the relationship between traffic enforcement, impaired driving enforcement and criminal enforcement. Specific techniques are covered to assist officers in detecting criminal activity during DWI enforcement and other traffic-related activities. Students will receive extensive instruction in roadside interviews and hidden compartments to include those vehicles equipped with aftermarket installed false compartments.

Instructor: Sheriff Michael Lewis of Wicomico County, Maryland is now in his third term as Wicomico County Sheriff, is a retired Sergeant and 22 year veteran of the Maryland State police who pioneered the Drug Interdiction program along Maryland's notorious U.S. Rte. 13 corridor.
The NY State STOP-DWI Foundation, Inc., through funding from the NYS Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee is sponsoring regional trainings to benefit local STOP-DWI efforts in New York State. These seminars are free of charge and are designed help STOP-DWI Coordinators and their partners in the fields of law enforcement, prosecution, probation, treatment and education to prevent impaired driving.
